This trusted community medical center is actively interviewing for a Staff RN Nurse to serve as Circulator and patient care specialist on its Surgical Services Team.This community hospital in Oregon's Willamette Valley has a strong history of superior patient outcomes, excellent guest service, and inspiring the best in its leaders. The Surgical Services Staff Nurse will play a central role in the patient care operations of the Surgical Services Department, and a vital role in maintaining the excellent reputation of the hospital.Reporting to the Operating Room Nurse Manager, the Surgical Services Registered Nurse will work closely with an outstanding team of Operating Room, Post Anesthesia (PACU), and Recovery Nurses. This RN will also work closely with the fantastic surgeons who perform these cases in a department that typically closes by 5pm.Performing around 1000 procedures per month, this 10-Operating Room Perioperative Department has some room to grow. Offering a full suite of procedures, from Neuro and Spine to Thoracic and Orthopedic, the Surgical Services RN will join a cohesive, diverse, and high-performing team.The RN Surgical Services Nurse will play an important part in the day-to-day clinical and patient care in the Operating Room. The Surgery Registered Nurse will take responsibility for patient assessment and history review, working with the physician and family to develop a clear path of care. Working under unit leadership, and in close collaboration with the attending surgeon / physician, the Nurse will help formulate a care plan and execute on that plan.From an operational standpoint, the Surgical RN will have responsibility to circulate in the operating suites, support the pre and post operation turnaround, and serve as a responsible partner on a large team. This person will get the opportunity to grow their skills through the mentorship of an excellent Manager, through helping to develop efficiency upgrades and operational improvements for the unit, and they'll get to lead projects to execute on those visions.The Willamette Valley is one of those amazing communities that lets you be close to the big city while still enjoying country living.
